ORSA Ritchey vs Kinzua - 09/14/14

posted Sep 19, 2014, 4:12 PM by Thomas Pfennigwerth

ORSA U10-Ritchey lost 4-0 to Kinzua.  The first half finished tied 0-0 with each team having chances at goal.  ORSA's best chance came in the last minute of the half, with Chip Whitling putting a ball ahead to Seldon Bean.  Seldon beat two defenders and was in on the keeper, who had to come off his line to make the save.  With that save, time expired to end the half.  The second half started much the same as the first with Kinzua having a lot of possession and ORSA counter-attacking.  With Kinzua keeping the ball in ORSA's half they were able to score 4 straight goals and only the hard work of Seldon Bean, Keegan Shreffler, Landon Perry, and keeper Sawyer Cavalline kept it from being more.  ORSA was not without chances as Connor Ritchey had a breakaway and was one on one with the keeper only to have his shot go wide and Jay Prettyman beat several players and took a shot with his left foot, but the Kinzua keeper was able to make the save.  The entire team played hard throughout, but just couldn't get the ball into the goal.
